Born in 1977, he earned a BA in International Relations at The Graduate Institute of International Studies, Geneva and an MSc in International Banking & Finance at Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. Following his postgraduate studies he began his professional career at PKB Private Bank SA, Lugano where he has been working for the last 18 years in the corporate banking department. During his career he matured in-depth expertise in the field of SME financing, mortgage financing and complex loans. He is currently the Head of the Corporate Banking & Entrepreneurs department as FVP.

Agnese D'Ascanio

Born in 1994, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Communication with a thesis focused on content marketing in the cultural sector. She continued her education journey with a Master in Economics and Management for Cultural Heritage and Performing Arts, and with a research on the economic and social impact of digital storytelling projects. While still a student, she collaborated with various cultural institutions, such as La Triennale Milano. After completing her studies, she pursued her interest for digital innovation by working for a prominent global consultancy firm as an application development analyst and digital business analyst for nearly three years. Aleksandra Pavlovic

Alessandro Chiruzzi

I obtained my degree in Electronic Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, with a focus on Statistical Signal Processing and Control Systems. After graduation, I worked for 3 years at Intel Corp. in Finland as a Drone Systems R&D Engineer. I specialised in Semantic Segmentation and Domain Adaptation on synthetic data and later, I worked in Italy at GlassFORM.ai as Applied Machine Learning Reseracher working on Industrial Automation, in particular applying Reinforcement Learning and Graph Machine Learning for process control and quality inspection in the hollow glass industry Currently, I serve as Chief Competence Center for Artificial Intelligence at cross-ING, leading AI-based projects applied to various domains such as Embedded Systems, Wearable Devices for Human Activity Recognition, Smart Cities, Industrial Automation, Quality Control, MedTech, and SportTech. I also lead the Competence Centre for Innovation, where I assist companies, investors and start-ups on the path to innovation. Since 1996 I have held numerous positions within the CFA Institute. I was co-founder of the CFA Society Switzerland and the CFA Society Italy; I was then appointed Governor from 2005 to 2008. I have gained more than 30 years of experience in the banking sector and in the Private Banking at a global level for several Swiss banks such as UBS, Lombard Odier and Credit Suisse, as Managing Director, Global Head Investment Products Strategy. In 2009, I founded Valeur Fiduciaria. In October 2019 the company was acquired by Banca Generali and renamed BG Valeur. Today I still hold the position of General Manager. Over the years, I have founded other companies operating in the financial and fintech sectors. In addition to my professional activities, I am also a member of the advisory board "Asset Management" of Centro Studi Villa Negroni. I have a passion for foreign languages.

Beatrice Iosub

Beatrice Iosub is the Team Lead for Drupal CMS. She is responsible for the configuration team and new product launches, and also plays a business analyst role to support and collaborate with the customer. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management and a Master's degree in Management & Informatics from USI, and has two years of industry experience. With over 10 years of experience in the banking industry, working all around Europe, she is involved in proactive management of projects, resources, and client relationships. When she's not working, Claire can be found riding her bicycle and chauffeuring her toddler around the Lugano Lake area.

Aleksandar Jeremic

I was born in 1987 and grew up in Caslano. After primary and secondary school, I went to Liceo Lugano 1 in Lugano Center. Once completed the high school, I decided to stay in Lugano and enrolled at USI, where I graduated with a Bachelor in Economics first and then with a Master in Banking and Finance. After completing my Master studies in 2011, I joined Avaloq (B-Source) as Business Analyst in the FX & Money Market (FX&MM) team, within the Application Maintenance Services (AMS) division. My job was to analyse issues and improvements Banks found in FX&MM area using Avaloq Banking Suite and to address them to the development teams for corrections, maintenance and enhancement of the Banking software and solution. After a couple of years, I changed team and took over Payments, Cash Operations, Cards and Settlement (COP) team, where I started to organize my job and the one of my teammates. In 2016 I was designed as SME (Subject Matter Expert) and then area manager of the COP team. This is the time when I started my managerial career path in the company. In 2019 I took over the role of Area Manager for the whole transactional area in Avaloq AMS, covering FX&MM, COP, Securities&Trading and Credits teams. From 2021 to 2022 I also experienced the role of Product Owner (PO) for Crypto products&trading in Avaloq, supporting the go-live of Crypto Asset Platform for trading developed by Avaloq. Currently I’m the Middle Manager of the AMS Transactional team for CH&FL Region. My team is made of 16 Business Analysts which take care about the services related to Treasury, Payments, Securities&Trading, Credits and Lending.

Massimo Cerutti trained as a chef, graduating with distinction in 1982 in Lausanne (Palace Hotel). He then furthered his training in the best Swiss hotels, such as the "Dolder Hotel" in Zurich and the "Schweizerhof" in Bern, as well as in Germany and England, where he attended the "Business School" in Cambridge. Thanks to a thorough professional training, Massimo Cerutti devoted himself to the development of the family business. At the beginning of 1985, he created his own company, Massimo Cerutti SA. in order to continue to offer coffee connoisseurs balanced and aromatic coffee blends made from real Italian roasting, which enhances the aroma of Italian espresso coffee. In 1996, Massimo Cerutti attended the single course of coffee taster at the International Institute of Coffee Tasters in Brescia, obtaining his licence as a taster. Also in Brescia, in 2008 he participated as a commissioner at the International Coffee Tasting.

Monica Curti

Vice President - Senior Credit Officer, Moody s Investors Service

Since joining Moody’s in March 2006, Monica has been lead analyst for structured finance transactions covering mainly corporate debt backed transactions (e.g. ABCP and ABS), including non-performing loan transactions and innovative transactions, as well as consumer transactions in various EMEA jurisdictions. She is also the author of Moody’s Global Approach to Rating SME Balance Sheet Securitizations and she has also been involved in methodology developments for non-performing transactions. She acts also as research coordinator for the EMEA corporate structure finance team and is regular speaker at conferences. Prior to joining Moody’s, Monica has been a senior credit analyst at UBS (Zurich), where she mainly focused on development and validation of credit rating/scoring systems and Basel II. Before that, Monica worked as Economist and Research Manager in the Swiss Economic and Labour Ministry (Bern) and at the European Commission (DGV). Monica holds a PhD degree in Economics from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), completed at the UCL (London), and she is a certified Financial Risk Manager from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).

My name is Nicola Andreetta, I have been working for BancaStato for a good 30 years and it was here that I did my commercial apprenticeship and my entire career path. I have worked in a variety of areas; as an operator from 1998 to 2004 at the then Electronic Centre, from 2004 to 2014 as a Support Center employee, and from 2014 to 2020 as an e-banking support employee, where I also performed administrative and control activities in the area of social security. For the past 5 years, I have held a leadership role within BancaStato's Customer Service Centre for telephone services, in the areas of "e-banking support and 1st level IT support" supportoATTIVO and "Contact Center" lineaDIRETTA; services which are constantly evolving in view of the imminent introduction of AI, a project which I am personally following. Currently, the teams consist of about 23 people, including some young people in training. I am constantly oriented towards continuous professional growth and the acquisition of new skills. Since the beginning of my professional experience I have always worked in and for the Team and I am strongly convinced that motivation combined with balance are solid foundations on which to build one's future. I was born and raised in the Bellinzona area, husband of Priscilla and father of Manuel and Isahel. I have always been passionate about music and photography.

After this, Sara continued its tax specialization by enrolling in a tax specialization education at Concordia University (Canada). In 2010, Sara moved to Italy to be part of the Indirect Tax department of consulting firm EY where she spent 5 years and meanwhile obtained a Diploma on EU Customs Law. In June 2015, Sara joined PwC Lugano as a VAT & customs specialist, where she advices national and multinational companies in different industries with a particular focus on supply chain aspects and cash flow optimization. In addition, Sara has collaborated as author/co-author of professional articles regarding international VAT in Italy and more recently in Ticino where she is currently helping to shape the VAT & Customs Consulting practice of PwC Switzerland. Sara speaks native Spanish and is fluent in Italian and English.

Valeria Donnarumma

From 2010 to 2012, she worked for the City of Lugano and gave birth to the Urban Art Lugano project. From 2012 to 2015 she co-founded and co-direct in Lugano the ego gallery. From 2015 and 2018 she developed, in collaboration with the Laboratory of Visual Culture (LCV-SUPSI), the Mediation Culture Inclusion research project which focused on instructing art museums on how to improve accessibility for people who are blind and visually impaired. For SUPSI she also carried out teaching activities including courses for the Visual Communication and Interior Architecture degree programs. From 2019 to 2021, she has also collaborated with the Department of Training and Learning (DFA-SUPSI), where she mainly focused on the project Network for an Inclusive Culture in Ticino. Since 2022, she works for the City of Lugano, where she is involved in the Urban Art Lugano project, in cultural development and event organization.
